Eagles Take on University Christian in 2017 FHSAA Playoff Regional Final

 

The NFC Eagles (8-2) will travel to Jacksonville to take on the University Christian Christians on Friday, November 17th at 7:30 pm. The winner will advance to the State Semifinals on November 24th. NFC Drives Past JPII for Regional Semifinal Playoff Win

 

The NFC Eagles (8-2) defeated the JPII Panthers by a score of 43-10 to advance to the FHSAA Regional Final Playoffs on Friday. The Eagles ground game churned out 378 yard rushing as the Eagles were led by running backs Von Hayes, Jonathan Railey, and Quan Myrick. The NFC defense led by Jalen Norwood, Kyler Estes, and Victor Conde shut out the Panthers in the second half to seal the win. The Eagles now prepare for the second round of the playoffs as they will travel to Jacksonville to face University Christian.


Let The Class 2A Playoffs Begin

The NFC Eagles (7-2) will begin the first round of the Class 2A Florida High School Football Playoffs this Friday night, November 10th at 7:30 pm as the Eagles take on John Paull II at Eagle Field. All admission is $8 and due to FHSAA rules all regular season passes will not be honored. Come out and support NFC Football as the Eagles begin their drive for their 8th State Football Championship. NFC SUFFERS 2ND LOSS TO TIGER SHARKS

The NFC Eagles (8-2) fell 14-7 to the Port St Joe Tiger Sharks on Friday, November 3rd. The Eagles now look to host the first round of the 2017 FHSAA Football Playoffs on Friday, November 10th at Eagle Field as the Eagles will face JPII at 7:30 pm.

Eagles Enjoy Open Week

The NFC Eagles (7-1) will not be in action this Friday, October 27th as they enjoy an open week and prepare for the final regular season game against the Port St. Joe Sharks on Friday, November 3rd.  The Eagles will travel to Port St. Joe to play the Sharks with kickoff coming at 7:30 pm. 


Eagles Defeat Tigers 48-20

The NFC Eagles (7-1) with a variety of scores from several different Eagles, defeated the Jefferson County Tigers by a score of 48-20 on Friday, October 20th. The Eagles got touchdowns from quarterback Trey Fisher, running back Jaylan Stewart, running back Jonathan Railey, and wide receiver Macho Arza as the offense outpaced the Tigers’ defense throughout the night. The Eagles will enjoy an open date this week before traveling to Port St. Joe on Friday, November 3rd for the final game of the regular season.

Eagles Beat Rattlers 21-14 for Homecoming Win

 The NFC Eagles (6-1) got two rushing touchdowns from running back Jonathan Railey and another rushing touchdown from Quan Myrick to finish the scoring on Homecoming as the Eagles went on to win 21-14.  The NFC defense also held FAMU to a pair of touchdowns as the Eagles won their sixth game of the year.

Eagles Fall to Florida High 28-18

The NFC Eagles (5-1) got two touchdown receptions from Deandrae McCray and a rushing touchdown from Jonathan Railey but it wansn't enough as the Eagles fell to the Class 3A  Florida High Seminoles 28-18.  For the Eagles, it was their first loss of the season.  NFC will look to get back on the winning track as they celebrate homecoming this Friday against FAMU DRS.

Eagles Move to 5-0 With Win Over South Walton

 

 

The NFC Eagles (5-0) remained unbeaten with a 31-14 win over the South Walton Seahawks.  The Eagles got three touchdowns from freshman wide receiver, Deandrae McCray and the Eagle defense stifled the Seahawks and allowed only 14 points.  McCray caught touchdown passes of 70 and 15 yards from quarterback Trey Fisher.  McCray would add another touchdown on a jet sweep that he took 47 yards for his third score of the night.  Macho Arza added another 64 yard touchdown run as the Eagles closed out the scoring on another explosive night for the NFC offense.


Eagles Travel to South Walton

 

Game Time Change:  The starting time for Friday's game with South Walton has changed to 8:00 pm EST.

Eagles Beat Stallions In A Thriller 18-13

The NFC Eagles (4-0) got a 50 yard touchdown pass from quarterback Trey Fisher to running back Von Hayes (21) to finally put the Eagles up for good as they remain unbeaten in their come-from-behind victory over 3A Providence.  

Hayes would score earlier in the 4th quarter to put the Eagles up 12-7 but on the ensuing kickoff, the short kick was returned by the Stallions for a touchdown.  The PAT was no good and the Eagles found themseles down again 13-12.

The Eagle defense would then go on to hold the Providence offense as the Stallions turned the ball over on downs.  Hayes would later haul in the 50 yard touchdown to put the Eagles up 18-13.  The magic continued for NFC as they returned the favor of Providence by recovering their own onside kick.  The NFC offense would then run out the clock to seal their fourth win of the season.

NFC Eagles Stay Undefeated, Beat SCA 46-18

The NFC Eagles remained unbeaten Friday night as the Eagles beat Snook Christian Academy 46-18. The Eagles got four touchdown passes from QB Trey Fisher and a trio of NFC runners scored to pace the Eagles ground attack. Freshman Deandre McCray started the Eagles scoring with a 9 yard touchdown run on NFC’s first possession of the game. Fisher added the PAT and the Eagles quickly lead 7-0.

An onside kick was successful and RB Quan Myrick would put the Eagles on the board again with a 5 yard touchdown and the Eagles lead 13-0 on two straight possessions. Fisher would then get hot and hit two quick touchdown passes, a 5 yard pass to WR Deangelo Mitchell would see the Eagle lead grow to 20-0 before Snook would answer to cut the lead to 20-6.

Fisher then hit his longest touchdown pass of the night as he hit WR Preston Reece on a 41 yard pass to pu the Eagles up 26-0. NFC would flex its muscle again in the second half as Jaylan Stewart would rip off a 14 yard touchdown run and the Eagles would lead 33-12.

Two more touchdown passes from Fisher, an 18 yarder to Jalen Norwood and a 34 yard touchdown pass to Mach Arza would close out the Eagle scoring.

The Eagles will attempt to stay unbeaten as they host the Stallions of Jacksonville Providence on Friday, September 22nd at 7:30 pm at Eagle Field.

Jaxon Giles Named Outstanding Lineman by Tallahassee Quarterback Club

Sophmore center Jaxon Giles has been named the Tallahassee Quarterback Club's Offensive Lineman of the Week after his performance in NFC's 18-13 victory over the Valwood Valiants on Friday, September 1st. Jaxon played a significant role in helping the Eagles score late in the fourth quarter to take their only lead in the game, keeping the Eagles undefeated at 2-0 on the season. Jaxon will receive his award Tuesday night as he and the NFC offense will face their third consectutive Georgia high school as the Eagles travel this week to Thomasville, Georgia to play the Brookwood Warriors on Friday, September 8th. Jaxon is the son of Ben and Jami Giles. Congratulations Jaxon and GO EAGLES!

Eagles Travel to Brookwood

Eagles Remain Unbeaten, Defeat Valwood 18-13

The NFC Eagles defeated the Valwood Valiants 18-13 Friday night on a late fourth quarter run by running back Quan Myrick.  On a night where field conditions were messy due to frequent rain, the Eagles were led by senior Jaylen Stewart who rushed 8 times for 104 yards to lead the NFC Eagles to a hard fought 18-13 victory over the Valwood Valients. When Quan Myrick scored a touchdown on a one run with two minutes left in the game, it was the Eagles first lead of the game. The Valients opened the scoring after a blocked punt but missed their two point conversion attempt. The Eagles answered in the second quarter when linebacker Quan Myrick sacked the Valwood quarterback and caused a fumble that was returned by Jalen Norwood for a 31 yard touchdown. Valwood scored on a 13 yard touchdown pass to take the 13-6 halftime lead. The Eagles scored on a 75 yard touchdown run in the third by Jaylen Stewart. The score remained 13-12 until Deangelo Mitchell returned a punt 50 yards to set up the Eagles in Valwood territory. A fourth down pass from Trey Fisher to Mitchell set up the winning touchdown run by Myrick. Jalen Norwood lead the Eagles on Defense with 11 tackles, 1 forced fumble, 2 recovered fumbles and 2 Sacks. The Eagles are now 2-0 on the season. The Eagles return to action at Brookwood School in Thomasville at 7:30 on September 8.


IMPORTANT CHANGES TO GAME TIMES FOR BOTH JV AND MS GAMES

 

BREAKING NEWS: Two important changes to both Junior Varsity and Middle School football game times. The JV Eagles will play at home at 5:00 PM. Following the JV game, the MS Eagles will play at home beginning at 6:30 PM. Come out and see both squads in action! GO EAGLES!


Eagles Return Home to Take On Valwood

Eagles Defeat Knights for First Win

The NFC Eagles got two touchdown passes from Trey Fisher and added a rushing touchdown by Jaylan Stewart to defeat the Deerfield-Windsor Knights 21-0 Friday night.  Fisher opened the Eagle scoring in the first quarter by tossing a fourth down pass to Phillip Johnson.  Johnson's PAT made the early score Eagles 7 Knights 0.  

NFC would strike again when running back Jaylan Stwart scored on 6 yard burst.  Fisher added the extra point to put the Eagles up 14-0. Quarterback Trey Fisher finished the scoring on the night with a 69 yard touchdown pass to Deangelo Mitchell as the Eagles closed out their first win of the season 21-0.

The Preseason Kickoff Classic between NFC and North Florida Educational Institute scheduled for Friday, August 18th has been reset and will be played at Eagle Field.  The "Battle Between the Eagles" will begin at 7:00 PM.

2017 Fall Football Picture Form

Fall football pictures (both individual and group photos) will be taken on Saturday, August 12th from 8:00-10:00 am for all Varsit, JV, and Middle School football players.  PLease access the pictures form at the link below entitled "2017 NFC Fall Sports Pictures" to print your form.  All forms and payment must be turned into the photographer on picture day.  Cash, checks (made payable to Richard's Photography) or credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express) are accepted.

 The 2017 North Florida Christian Eagles begin their second week of fall practice beginning at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 7th.  The practice schedule for this week:
